Instead of using fixed image parameters, HDR10+ adjusts the image dynamically, adapting each scene individually to optimize every detail. This results in more accurate colors, deeper contrasts and a picture that feels closer to reality. Developed by Samsung in collaboration with Amazon Video, the technology is an open standard that has been adopted by several manufacturers and streaming services. According to tech media outlet Want, users can expect a picture experience more akin to cinema quality, especially on models that do not support Dolby Vision. Update for both new and older models The upgrade to HDR10+ will be available for a wide range of Samsung models – from Crystal UHD TVs from 2018 onwards to newer top models like the QN990F Neo QLED 8K and The Frame Pro. The latest models will also have access to Samsung Vision AI, a technology that uses artificial intelligence to analyze and enhance both picture and sound in real time. This means that even owners of older TVs will notice a clear difference without having to buy new equipment. Platforms like Netflix, Disney+ and Hulu already offer a large selection of movies and series in HDR10+ format. According to Samsung, there are now over 1,000 titles that support the technology and the number is growing all the time. For those who stream regularly, this means a much better experience with sharper images and deeper colors. Did you know this about Samsung?
